The Beautiful Damage

BEAUTIFUL DAMAGE There is beauty in what remains. Soft, weathered layers of pale green, blush, grey and chalky white hold traces of something once whole, interrupted by flashes of crimson, pink, charcoal and fragments of colour that refuse to disappear. Built through layering, erasure, texture and gesture, the surface feels almost like memory itself: blurred in places, vivid in others, marked by what has been felt and what has been survived. Beautiful Damage is not about brokenness. It is about becoming. About the marks that change us, the pieces we carry forward, and the quiet beauty that can emerge when we stop trying to return to who we once were. Some things are not meant to be repaired. Some things become more beautiful because they have been changed.
