Seek Advisory

Someone who knows.
Matched to you.

Buying art is personal. If you’d rather work with a thinking partner than scroll a thousand tiles, we’ll match you with a vetted advisor from our roster — usually within 48 hours.

01 — When advisory helps

You don’t need an advisor to buy art.
But here’s when it matters.

Starting out

You’re new to buying original art, you’ve bookmarked dozens of pieces, and you can’t tell which is a first serious purchase versus a distraction.

Filling a space

New home, new office, renovation complete — you need three or four works that cohere, not just one good piece. Advisors excel at building a room.

Building a collection

You already have pieces you love. You want direction — a coherent thread between them, an emerging artist to follow, a thesis to develop. That’s an advisor’s bread and butter.

02 — How the matching works

Three steps.
Two days.

01

You submit a brief

A short form. The space you’re buying for, your budget range, any pieces or artists you already admire, and what you’re hoping to achieve. The more specific, the better the match. Five minutes to write.

02

We match and introduce

A member of our curatorial team reads your brief and proposes an advisor from our vetted roster whose specialty, region, and budget comfort fit yours. Typically within 48 hours. If the first advisor isn’t right, we suggest another — no awkwardness, no pressure.

03

The advisor takes over

From here, it’s a direct relationship. They’ll send curated recommendations — usually three to six pieces, each with curatorial commentary explaining why it fits your brief. You can buy one, buy several, or ask for another round.

03 — What it costs

Free to request.
No markups.

Requesting an advisor

Free. You submit a brief, we match you, you talk to the advisor. No fee for the introduction, no retainer, no obligation to buy.

If you buy something

The advisor’s 15% commission is built into the price of any piece they recommend. It doesn’t come out of the artist’s share, and it’s not added on top of what the work would cost otherwise. The commission comes out of the platform’s cut.

Why this structure works

The advisor has no incentive to push you toward more expensive pieces — the commission is fixed percentage, and we track which recommendations get made versus which get bought. An advisor who consistently recommends pieces clients don’t buy gets fewer referrals from us. The incentive is quality matching, not volume.
