Spanish dance

I created this piece inspired by a Spanish dance from southern Spain. Throughout history, traditional Spanish dance has received many Eastern influences, primarily from Arab, Jewish, and Berber cultures. It is a dance full of feeling, sometimes sad, sometimes very joyful. The artwork is painted with oil on high-quality, heavyweight, handmade paper. This renowned paper is made in Spain using traditional methods from the flax plant. When framing the artwork, many clients prefer to leave the textured edges of the paper visible.
