My work encompasses painting and clay sculpture. It examines the tension between the individual mind and the world it inhabit, how, amid the constant noise of the outside world and the social pressure to belong, our inner life remains stubbornly private and separate. I am interested in memory not as something we retrieve, but as something we carry: fragmented, unreliable, yet deeply connected to our sense of identity and belonging. My works question what it means to long for belonging while the brain, by its very nature, keeps us isolated within our own experience.
