Bloom in Chartreuse

A striking figure emerges from a field of chartreuse yellow-green, her body dissolving into a cascade of teal, emerald and fiery coral tones that drip downward like liquid petals or falling rain. The contrast between the flat, luminous background and the textured, gestural "melting" fabric creates a powerful tension between stillness and movement, structure and dissolution. Painted in acrylic and oil on canvas, this contemporary portrait blends figurative precision in the face with abstract expressionist energy in the garment — a meditation on transformation, identity, and the beauty found in letting go.
