Birth of form

Birth of Form explores the moment when form begins to emerge from an unstable field of colour, gesture, and space. Painted masses gather and separate, gradually acquiring weight and direction while still retaining traces of the fluid process from which they developed. Turquoise and luminous blues create broad spatial movements across the composition, intersected by deep browns, reds, greens, and flashes of intense yellow. Loose lines, visible brushwork, drips, and translucent passages contrast with more defined shapes, while the gold field remains present between and beneath them. The painting captures form not as a finished object, but at the moment of becoming — when structure begins to arise from movement and uncertainty.
